Fano is our premium 100% cotton lightweight denim. At 220 GSM, it offers the classic, rugged appeal of denim but with a much softer, more breathable handle. It is the perfect choice for those who love the “utility” look but want a fabric that feels comfortable and light against the skin during the warmer months.

The Design: This denim has a beautiful, clean finish that works across a variety of styles. Its stability makes it incredibly satisfying to sew, holding details like topstitching, collars, and pockets perfectly. Whether you’re going for a crisp, tailored look or something more relaxed, Fano provides the ideal foundation.

Project Ideas: We’ve put Fano to the test with our own collection, and the results are stunning: The Structured Dress – We used this quality for our pointed-collar Ciao Georgia, where it provides just the right amount of body to highlight the sharp collar detail. The Modern Jumpsuit – Why not create the Ciao Monica jumpsuit in Fano? It offers the perfect weight for a functional yet stylish “all-in-one” look. Summer Essentials – Ideal for lightweight trousers, utility shirts, and structured skirts.

Care Instructions: To keep your denim garments looking their best and to ensure they age beautifully, we recommend these: Pre-Wash: Like all 100% cotton denims, Fano may shrink slightly on the first wash. Pre-wash at 30°C before cutting. Washing: Wash inside out to protect the surface of the fabric and prevent "streak" marks from the drum. Use a cool, gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Color Care: Wash with similar colors, as denim can release a small amount of dye during the first few launderings. Drying: Do not tumble dry. Tumble drying can cause stubborn "lightning" creases in denim. For the best result, shake the garment out while damp and line dry or dry flat. Ironing: Use a medium-to-hot iron setting with plenty of steam. Ironing while the fabric is slightly damp will make it much easier to achieve a crisp, professional finish on collars and seams.
